The Hellenic Healthcare Group (HHG) was awarded, for second consecutive year, for the period of 2022-2023, with the Silver Distinction from EcoVadis, the world's leading corporate Sustainability assessment organization, for the socially responsible practices it implements in relation to responsible entrepreneurship matters, sustainability and sustainable development.

Since September 2011, Metropolitan Hospital’s Food Services have been certified by the Lloyd's Register (LRQA), in accordance with the internationally recognized ISO 22000 food safety and hygiene standard. In addition to meeting all legal and regulatory requirements that govern food safety, this certification also validates our compliance with commonly accepted practices for preparation, storage and distribution of meals to patients.
The technical competence of the hospital labs and the reliability of lab results have been certified by the Hellenic Accreditation System (ESYD), in accordance with the ISO 15189-2012 international standard for clinical labs, with regard to more than 70 microbiological, biochemical, hematological and immunological tests. In addition, the accuracy and reliability of all lab analyses is continuously validated by top-quality external quality controls (NEQAS, EQAS, LABQUALITY).
Since 2013, Metropolitan Hospital has been certified by the international organization Temos International for its Quality in International Patient Care and its Excellence in Medical Tourism. These certifications validate our compliance with stringent safety and clinical efficacy standards for all patients, and the provision of comprehensive healthcare services, especially for international patients, from the first moment they contact the hospital until they are discharged. Metropolitan Hospital is the first hospital in Greece – and 4th in the world – to have received this certification.
