Profile
Michalis Kyriakidis is a graduate of the Medical School of the University of Athens. He completed his specialty training and worked in the United Kingdom and the United States. He has taught cardiology to medical students and physicians at the University of London (King’s College Hospital) and at Duke University, North Carolina, USA, and has performed more than 25,000 interventional procedures (cardiac catheterizations, coronary angiographies, angioplasties).
He is a Lecturer in Cardiology at the University of London and a Researcher at Duke University in the USA. In Greece, he is an Associate Professor of Cardiology at the University of Athens.
He has served as Director of the Intensive Care Unit at Hippocratio Hospital in Athens and as Director of the Cardiology Department at Laiko Hospital in Athens.
He is currently Director of the Cardiology Department at Metropolitan Hospital.
His research work includes 484 published studies, 305 of which have appeared in international medical journals and books, with more than 1,800 citations in the international medical literature.
