Medical Education and Training
Prof. Rologis graduated from the University of Athens School of Medicine, earning a National Scholarship Award as the top student admitted to Athens Medical School. He completed his full neurosurgical training at Frenchay Hospital, Bristol, and Western General Hospital, Edinburgh, U.K.
Clinical Neurosurgery Experience
He has served as Consultant Neurosurgeon and Director of the Department of Neurosurgery at “Geniko Kratiko” Hospital in Athens, Greece, and subsequently as Consultant Neurosurgeon and Director at Hygeia Hospital, Athens. He was also Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Thessaly Medical School in Larisa, Greece. Since the founding of Metropolitan Hospital in Athens, he has been Consultant Neurosurgeon and Director, where he continues to lead the department.

Surgical Experience in Neurosurgery
Prof. Rologishas been specializedin “Major Neurosurgery,” employing the most advanced micro-neurosurgical techniques. Over the past 30 years, he has performed as the primary surgeon more than 2,000 operations on brain tumors of all types, both benign and malignant, achieving a very high rate of excellent outcomes. In addition, he has performed over 1,000 operations on brain aneurysms, likely representing the highest number in Greece and among the highest in Europe.
