Nikolaos Konstantinou M.D. has been working as an Orthopaedic Surgeon since 2002 and as Director since 2014. He gained extensive clinical and surgical experience in emergency and planned cases as a Consultant and later an Associate Director at the Metropolitan Hospital Sports Injuries Clinic while also being on call duty for 10 years.
Nikolaos Konstantinou M.D. has participated as a trainer and speaker at International and Greek conferences and is a certified Surgeon in Robotic Hip and Knee Arthroplasty MAKO, Hip Arthroplasty AMIS and Percutaneous Foot Surgery MIFAS. He was trained at the Sports Injuries Clinic of the KAT Hospital and was further trained at HSS (Update on Sports Injuries), (Update on Hip Disorders).
Nikolaos Konstantinou M.D. possesses ethics, dignity and humor and maintains excellent relations with colleagues and staff. He collaborates in multidisciplinary teams with notable Clinicians and Orthopedics in difficult cases. He possesses surgical courage and is a pioneer at Metropolitan by participating in the first total knee arthroplasty with a navigation system (Navigation), in the first AMIS hip arthroplasties. In 2015, he started Percutaneous Surgery of the hallux valgus and presented the results at various conferences and in 2021 at the conference of the Hellenic Society of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology.
Nikolaos Konstantinou M.D. has a special surgical interest in Sports Injuries, Joint Arthroplasty, Percutaneous Foot Surgery and Traumatology. He has experience in treating and dealing with international patients and difficult cases.
