Profile
Andromachi Stamati is a Pediatrician with extensive experience in clinical care and management of emergency cases. She graduated from the Medical School of the University of Thessaly in 2012 and completed her rural medical service at the General Hospital of Agrinio in 2014. She specialized in Pediatrics at the General Hospital of Kalamata and at the 2nd University Pediatric Clinic of “P. & A. Kyriakou” Children’s Hospital, where she received her Pediatrics specialty title in 2020.
From 2020 to 2023, she served as a Consultant Pediatrician in the same clinic, with a special interest in Pediatric Neurology under the guidance of Associate Professor of Pediatrics–Neurology, Dr. G. Vartzelis. Since 2024, she has held the position of Pediatric Consultant at Metropolitan Hospital in Athens.
She is a PhD candidate at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), with a research focus on pediatric neurology and early atherosclerosis. During her PhD thesis, she collaborated with the Lipid Disorders Clinic of the 2nd Pediatric Department of NKUA, under the supervision of Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Dr. A. Garoufi and participated in the National Registry of Patients with Familial Hypercholesterolemia (HELLAS-FH).
As part of her continuing education, she has attended numerous seminars and workshops in General Pediatrics and its subspecialties, including child nutrition and breastfeeding. Her training encompasses modern approaches to the care of neonates, infants, and older children, as well as key aspects of psychosocial development. She has published in international journals and has participated in numerous conferences with both oral and poster presentations. In 2016, she was awarded the First Prize for a poster presentation at the 19th Panhellenic Conference on Lipidology. She is certified in BLS and APLS (2024) and is a member of the Hellenic Atherosclerosis Society.
Ongoing education, interdisciplinary collaboration and empathy in child care are fundamental principles of her medical practice.
