Tsakiris Panagiotis

Dr. Panagiotis Tsakiris, MD, is a Urologist-Endourologist (Fellow of Endourology, AMC Amsterdam) with many years of experience and particular specialization in the entire spectrum of modern urological and andrological surgery.

He studied medicine at the University of Athens, where he was admitted after exams in 1991. He initially specialized in Urology at the 401 Military Hospital of Athens and later at the Hippokrateio Hospital. His specialization in minimally invasive surgery of the urinary tract was conducted at Academic Medical Center of Amsterdam where he stayed for two years (Clinical Fellowship), a world-renowned endourology center headed by Dr. Jean de la Rosette, pioneer in minimally invasive surgical urology. In 2007, he returned to Greece and has since been a member of the medical staff at Metropolitan Hospital. Throughout his professional career, he is characterized by surgical consistency, technical excellence, and respect for people. From minimally invasive treatments to advanced oncological and demanding andrological procedures, he approaches each case with precision, technological perfection and personalized design. He has extensive experience in interventions for benign prostatic hyperplasia, kidney and ureteral stones, tumors of the urinary tract system and in interventions for phimosis, varicocele, hydrocele, etc. Specialized in modern surgical techniques, he places particular emphasis on rapid recovery and maintaining the quality of life of his patients. His scientific training is constantly enhanced through his participation in international urology conferences, courses, and workshops. He remains committed to lifelong learning, closely following developments in endourology, to ensure that his patients have access to the most modern, effective, and safe treatments. He is a member of the teaching staff and is responsible for clinical courses in Urology for student groups from the University of Nicosia.

In his free time, he engages in sports, long-distance running, and yoga, which help him stay in good physical shape. Other areas of interest for him are wine-tasting and travels, for getting to know new cultures and different customs.
