Dr. Georgios Eleftheriou holds a PhD from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and serves as Director of the Vascular Surgery Department at Metropolitan Hospital. He has extensive experience in both open and endovascular surgery (balloon angioplasty – stenting), with specialization in carotid artery disease, aortic aneurysms, peripheral arterial disease, and the modern treatment of venous insufficiency using laser, radiofrequency, foam, and medical glue techniques.
He has completed advanced training at leading vascular surgery centers across Europe and the United States and has performed numerous procedures across the entire spectrum of vascular surgery, with high success and safety rates. He is the author of dozens of scientific publications and a regular speaker at national and international medical congresses.
He has served as Vice President of the Hellenic Society for Vascular Surgery and is the former General Secretary of the Panhellenic Medical Association.
