Special Tests and Exams
Special allergy tests and exams are also performed at the Department. These include skin prick tests for airborne allergens (pollen, dust, fungus, pet dander); skin prick tests for food allergens; skin tests (prick and intradermal) for drug reactions; and other specific therapies, such as immunotherapy for airborne allergens and wasp and bee venom, and desensitization for drug allergy.

The Allergy Department addresses every allergy condition or incident that is presented in adults or children. By employing the most modern therapies, it is able to treat various allergies. These include:
- Respiratory allergies which manifest as allergic rhinitis, allergic bronchial asthma and allergic conjunctivitis that are caused by pollen, dust, fungus and pet dander.
- Skin allergies such as pruritus, pruritic rash, edema, dermatitis/eczema and vasculitis.
- Allergies due to food, drugs, insect pricks (stings) (wasps, bees) and systemic allergic reaction / allergic shock.
