- 04/1999-04/2004: Specialty training in Internal Medicine. In the context of his specialty training, he attended 1-year training at the Sotiria Hospital Respiratory Failure Center / High Dependency Unit, gaining significant experience in the mamaging and treating patients with lung diseases. For over 3.5 years, he was an intern at the Athens University Internal Medicine Clinic in Sotiria Hospital, with practical training at the Emergency Department and the Hospital’s Regular Clinics (Internal Medicine, Diabetes/Endocrinology, Hematology, Rheumatology); 2 years at patient wards; 11 months at the Hematology Clinic/Lab; 6 months at the Oncology / One-Day Clinic. He gained experience in treating hospitalized and medical emergency patients during on-call duty, while he attended the Clinic’s training program without fail. In addition, in the context of his specialty training, he trained for more than 3 months at the Nikaia General Regional Hospital ICU and more than 3 months at the W. Attica General Regional Hospital Cardiology Clinic, performing minimally invasive acts (vein catheterization, tracheostomy tube change etc.) as well as treating critically ill patients and patients with cardiovascular diseases. He has also attended a multitude of educational seminars, conferences and workshops as part of continuing medical education. He received his Specialty Certificate in Internal Medicine upon examinations before the Athens Committee (February 2005).
- He attended the professional training program No. Υ 99-Ν1.04-Ε304, “Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation for Medical Personnel" and computer seminars "Organizing a clinic with use of computers” and “Management of scientific data with Excel 2000 and Access 2000 computer programs”, organized by the Sotiria Hospital Professional Training Center (KEK).
