The Shoulder, Elbow & Upper Limb Sports Injury Department offers all dedicated modern diagnostic and treatment methods for the rehabilitation of traumatic and degenerative shoulder and elbow sports injuries. Most problems are successfully treated with arthroscopic (keyhole) surgeries.
Using our Department’s state-of-the-art equipment, our doctors can perform the following arthroscopic procedures:
- Chondroplasty (cartilage transplant etc.)
- Acromioplasty
- Arthroscopic shoulder stabilization in post-traumatic and non-traumatic instabilities
- Arthroscopic rotator cuff repair and shoulder instability surgery
- Elbow arthroplasty
- Shoulder and elbow arthroplasty with arthrolysis
Open procedures:
- Open total or hemiarthroplasty of the shoulder and elbow for traumatic or non-traumatic disorders
- Osteosynthesis in shoulder and elbow fractures (using minimally invasive surgery techniques where possible) e.g. percutaneously
Shoulder and elbow stiffness:
- Usually treated via arthroscopic surgery, but also with open surgery.
