The Department specializes in Minimally Invasive Orthopedic Surgery. Joint replacement procedures, primarily performed on older patients, are carried out using the most advanced techniques and the latest intraoperative technological tools. The Sports Injuries Department of Metropolitan Hospital is among the few in Greece certified in Robotic Orthopedic Surgery for the robotic system Mako. This allows for a truly personalized approach, with each procedure tailored to the patient’s specific needs. The Department also performs SuperPATH Hip Arthroplasty, a technique that ensures faster recovery and an improved quality of life for patients suffering from hip arthritis.
