Hemodynamics Laboratory
A fully operational laboratory performing over 10,000 procedures, including: Coronary angiographies, angioplasties (balloon and stent), electrophysiological studies and ablations, percutaneous aortic valve replacements (TAVR), pacemaker and defibrillator implantations, pericardiocenteses etc.
The latest techniques are routinely applied, such as rotational atherectomy (rotablator), CARTO 3D mapping, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), and retrograde angioplasty of chronically occluded coronary arteries.
The Lab operates 24/7 for acute cardiac cases such as myocardial infarction, significantly reducing complications. Interventional cardiology teams perform primary angioplasty immediately, saving patients from heart failure and lowering overall mortality rates.
It also holds Greece’s leading expertise in radial-access coronary angiography (via the wrist), which allows patients to mobilize immediately and avoid prolonged bed rest.
